Episcopal Relief & Development Welcomes New Board Members

Episcopal Relief & Development is pleased to announce the election of three new members to the Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2010.
Pearl Chin from Province II, Diocese of New York; Sharon Hilpert from Provinces V and VIII, Dioceses of Wyoming and California; and Tucker Moodey from Province VIII, Diocese of Olympia, will each bring a wealth of knowledge to their new positions on the board.
“I welcome the commitment, talent and perspective of each of these new board members,” said the Rt. Rev. Robert J. O’Neill, Chair of the Board of Directors. “All of them bring unique gifts to the board, and I look forward to working with them to serve God’s mission in the world through Episcopal Relief & Development.”
“I’m excited for Dr. Chin, Ms. Hilpert and Mr. Moodey to join the Episcopal Relief & Development family,” said Rob Radtke, President of Episcopal Relief & Development. “We are fortunate that these three highly esteemed individuals are willing to donate their time and efforts to further our mission of healing a hurting world.”
Dr. Chin currently serves as an adjunct professor at the Cooper Union and at Baruch College, the City University of New York. She is also the former director of the Chinatown Manpower Project, a non-profit that provides vocational training and economic development opportunities to low-income families and individuals.
Ms. Hilpert is a fundraising consultant and has worked with various faith-based and academic organizations, managing three multimillion-dollar campaigns. She has also served as a member of Episcopal Relief & Development’s External Affairs Committee.
Mr. Moodey is Senior Vice President of Customer Operations for Expedia, Inc., coordinating customer service for travelers around the world. He also serves on Project Outreach, an organization at St. Thomas Church in Medina, WA, which provides financial grants to charitable organizations.
“It is a blessing for us to gain board members with such a strong commitment to serving their communities,” said Radtke. “Their individual experiences and expertise will be an invaluable addition to Episcopal Relief & Development’s Board of Directors.”
