Molly Carr shares how Covid-19 has affected her feeding ministry
On Wednesday, July 22, 2020, Episcopal Relief & Development Program Officer Tamara Plummer hosted a conversation with Molly Carr, Pastor and Executive Chef for Abundant Harvest Kitchen in Houston, Texas. The Abundant Harvest Kitchen ministry is a part of St. Isadore Episcopal Church, a church without walls with a mission to be offensively generous, and Episcopal Relief & Development program partner through the Episcopal Diocese of Texas’ Hurricane Harvey Recovery Program.
As Molly mentions during the interview, the mission for Abundant Harvest is to “create experiences around the table that feed the body, nourish the soul and transform the community.” That is evident in how the relationships they form with people in need begin with food, and go much deeper. Listen in as Tamara and Molly discuss how COVID-19 has affected the ministry in terms of need, managing volunteers, disaster preparedness and more.
