NetsforLife® Inspiration Fund
Thank You for Helping the NetsforLife® Inspiration Fund
Surpass Its Goal!
The NetsforLife® Inspiration Fund has successfully exceeded its $5 million goal due to the incredible generosity of supporters across the Episcopal Church and beyond. Over the 2010-12 triennium, thousands of individuals joined congregations, dioceses, schools and organizations in this church-wide, grassroots effort to unite Episcopalians in the fight against malaria. Thank you!
At the 2009 General Convention, the Episcopal Church made the NetsforLife® Inspiration Fund the centerpiece of its prophetic response to the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and pledged 0.7% of its budget to this campaign. All Episcopalians were invited to learn more about this disease and how to prevent it, and to contribute towards this important undertaking. The campaign exceeded its fundraising goal of $5 million in early 2013. To learn about some of the many contributors to this success, view the Inspiration Fund newsletter archive.
Although the campaign is complete, the work of NetsforLife® will continue. The gains made in malaria control are still fragile and will require ongoing investment. In 2013, the goal is to distribute more than 3 million nets.
