Episcopal Relief & Development offers prayers and condolences after the horrible attack on the compound of All Saints Church in the Diocese of Peshawar. According to recent reports, at least 80 people have died and hundreds more have been injured in Pakistan.
Our program staff has reached out to the diocese, and we are assessing how to best support needs in the aftermath of this tragedy. We are shocked and saddened by the continuing and escalating violence. Episcopal Relief & Development stands in solidarity with the Church of Pakistan and the Diocese of Peshawar as they provide care and support for those most affected.
Please continue to pray for peace in the region, and for the Church as it stands for dignity and compassion in the midst of hurt and devastation.
Prayer for Peace
Eternal God, in whose perfect kingdom no sword is drawn but the sword of righteousness, no strength known but the strength of love: So mightily spread abroad your Spirit, that all peoples may be gathered under the banner of the Prince of Peace, as children of one Father; to whom be dominion and glory, now and for ever. Amen.
